The Vaisala Weather ASCII Serial Driver is used to communicate withmost Vaisala weather sensors and transmitters. This serial driver connects to a trunk of 1 or more VaisalaWeather Transmitters that support theVaisala Ascii Protocol like the WXT530 transmitter. It is capable of reading operational andstatus data from each transmitter as well as send reset commands.
The Vaisala Weather ASCII Serial driver is an active client driver in that it polls for data – reading orwriting data from meters. Itcannot be used to simulate a Vaisala transmitter because only the client side of the protocol isimplemented.
